the team
Adrian Checketts, Consultant
Adrian began his career as an apprentice at BT. There he learned how to create and deliver marketing material for new technology. He gradually worked his way up the corporate ladder and moved around the company.
After many years as a senior manager, he left to work in the City for a high profile PR firm. He directed campaigns promoting hotel chains across the world. It was only then that Adrian realised how much he had to learn.
So he got to work learning the trade from working with the masters. This experience, along with a real strategic viewpoint, is put to good use at Ellis and Fitch.
Adrian has a clear vision of where he wants the company to go, and what he wants it to be. He keeps the company moving forward on the road to success.
When he isn’t working, Adrian likes clay pigeon shooting and classical music. |

Steven Sharp, Account Director
Steve initially trained as a chef at college. After spending five years working in some prestigious London restaurants, he decided he didn’t like the heat and got out of the kitchen. His love for food didn’t go away though, so Steve decided to stay with hospitality and joined a well-known hotel chain in London.
His new role gave him control of major clients, looking after some of the company’s largest corporate and private accounts. He thrived in this environment, and his fate as an eternal account manager was sealed. Being intelligent and ambitious, Steve soon climbed the corporate ladder, ending up as an account director at the firm. It’s in this capacity that she joined Ellis and Fitch.
Steve still enjoys cooking, but in a more relaxed environment. He enjoys hosting dinner parties and travelling the world. |

Jamie Kavanagh, Head of Travel Division
Jamie trained as a baker when he first left school and completed a bakery apprenticeship by the age of 21. Being at the wrong age for such unsociable hours, he left to work in an office, where he learned the finer points of working in daylight, and corporate communications.
Moving into the technology industry taught him much about communications and marketing which he has utilised in every aspect of his career. Jamie now runs his own communications business, and works with Ellis and Fitch as a consultant.
With an avid interest in travel, and for telling it how it is, Jamie has found a home here that he enjoys. His ability to communicate at all levels, and to formulate creative ideas keeps him very busy here.
When he isn’t working, Jamie enjoys walking his dogs and mountain biking. |
